I really enjoyed Michael Wesch and find him very entertaining. He really opened my eyes to why we need to rethink education for us to survive and thrive. Through creativity and problem solving we can expand in the educational world. It will be a process to change education as we know it but the hard work will pay off in the end. As we sit here we can listen, question, think and research with our own self dirve. The benefits of teaching are that you get to experience the learning that is taking place and learn from those experiences. We should appreciate that we get paid to learn constantly. Maybe not a whole lot, but it's something! And like the video said, "we have half the world living on two dollars per day".

Hi Laura,
I like your comment, "We should appreciate that we get paid to learn constantly". So true! At times it is easy to get overwhelmed by the workload of teaching but it is always nice to stop and be grateful for the joys of teaching.
Thanks,
Megan

Great points Laura. When Wesch mentioned that half the world is living on two dollars a day, that resonated with me on a number of levels as well.
